We had another successful CME on August 25, organized and hosted by my colleague and a founder member of the SER, Dr Arjun Kalyanpur, and his team at Teleradiology Solutions, Bangalore. This was a focused session on “Updates and recent technological advancements in Emergency Radiology”, in keeping with the vision of the SER of incorporating newer technologies of teleradiology and artificial intelligence to enhance the scope of emergency radiology. The highlights included workshops on Artificial Intelligence and Musculoskeletal Sonography in the emergent setting and a fun session on teleradiology. The CME involved national radiology [...]

Dr. Uday Bhan Singh, a member of the SER and a leading radiologist in Varanasi, in collaboration with the Radiology Department of IMS, Banaras Hindu University, successfully conducted the CME under the aegis of the SER. The attendance was unparalleled at a strength of nearly 250 and the sessions were unusually interactive with a Q&A after each talk that was almost half as long as the lecture itself! The scientific program was carefully planned to cover some important topics of interest in the field of Emergency and Trauma Radiology. National experts in the field [...]

The third annual conference of the Society for Emergency Radiology was held in Bangalore on September 23-25, 2016, jointly hosted by Teleradiology Solutions and Vydehi Medical College. The scientific program of the Conference comprised of salient topics pertaining to imaging of acute conditions of the chest, abdomen, head and [...]

By |2018-09-20T05:01:27+00:00February 10th, 2016|Categories: Blog|

We are pleased to share that the Second Annual Conference of the SER held at AIIMS, New Delhi, was a huge success. Attended by nearly 400 radiologists from all over the globe, it proved a worthy successor to the First Annual Conference at the PGIMER, Chandigarh in 2014. The venue, AIIMS, New Delhi, with its state-of –the art trauma center, was an obvious and great choice for a conference of this specialty and magnitude. The case discussion by experts in the field from across the world set the tone for the rest of [...]

As I approach the Second Annual Conference of the SER on Oct 31-Nov 2, I am excited and yes, feel the butterflies in my stomach. We have completed a year, and are ready with the new website to mark another eventful and productive year. I am curious to see the audience response to the scientific programme, which has been charted out painstakingly by a team of experienced and academically acclaimed radiologists from AIIMS and myself. We have been fortunate to have an enthusiastic support from our international counterparts, including the famous Dr Lee Rogers [...]

Our official journal : Emergency Radiology

By |2016-12-21T09:31:14+00:00September 12th, 2015|Categories: Uncategorized|

Our past year has been an eventful one indeed. Under the vision and out-of-box ideas of Dr Khandelwal, the President of the SER, and Dr Ron Zagoria, the Editor-in-Chief, of Em Rad, we have partnered with the ASER and adopted the Emergency Radiology as our official journal. Newer techniques and methodologies in the field can be shared with a much wider readership, and the lag phase between the more experienced and the relative newbies can be obliterated by a simultaneous revelation and sharing of know-how across the globe.
